Do I Let Others Read With My Cards? ©

I recently answered a question on a Facebook group as to whether or not I let others read with my cards. Well, my obvious, instant reply was “NO.” But why do I say no to this question?

What has tarot done for me? ©

When I give someone a reading with my tarot cards, I am very much aware that I offer  possible answers or insight to their questions, and problems. I give them the ability to weigh options, and make decisions on the ideas presented, and ultimately make their own choice as to how to handle their situation.

A Quick Guide to the Pagan Wheel of the Year ©

The wheel begins to turn as the veil between worlds thins,

And so we celebrate Samhain, the Pagan New Year

Children dressed as ghosts and goblins roam on this night,

Playing tricks and begging for treats

Our passed loved ones join in the festivities,

Their presence known to us on this sacred night.

Soon the Winter Solstice, known as Yule, is upon us,

Bringing longer days of sun, and shorter nights of darkness.

Ostara and the Major Arcana

By Joanne Matthew©

The Major Arcana are gathered around contemplating the celebration of Ostara, Festival of Trees, or Easter, as it is known in the Christian religion.  The Fool, not sure of what it is all about, is anxious to begin the celebration.

The Search for a New Pope

The Major Arcana have decided they will choose the new Pope.  Of course, the Heirophant wants the position, and believes he is the most qualified, but has agreed to hear from all those applying before he accepts the honor.

The fool is disqualified on the grounds that he is too unsure of which way to go—he has no confidence at this time in his life, so his application is rejected.

Journey To The World by Joanne Matthew ©

There is a man known as the Fool, wandering through a dark woods. He has no purpose, no direction, no idea of who or what he should be. He travels with his faithful dog as his only companion.

Tarot New Year’s Eve Party ©

The Fool  has been throwing caution to the wind and drinking all night with the Devil pushing him to continue.  Death is making a list of everybody’s New Year resolutions so he can help them keep their promise of change in the coming months. For entertainment, the Magician is whipping up some of his magick. Everyone wishes they had his skills.

This is another Yule song, but a whimsical one based on Jingle Bells!

The Yule Song © (Jingle Bells tune)

Trim the tree, light the log,

Yule is on the way.

Though it be the darkest night,

The sun returns each day—ay.

Light the fires, clean the house,

But don’t disturb Lil’ Mouse.

He just wants to keep so warm

And brings to you no harm.

Time to Beat the drum,

Time to raise the sound,

There’s happiness all round,

As snows protect the ground.

The coming of the sun

To the tune of I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus----

Santa gets a tarot reading: ©

I saw mommy read for Santa Claus

Underneath the crystal ball last night.

She shuffled and cut the deck,

I could tell he was a wreck.

He worried if his sleigh would fly

A way up in the sky.

He wants to deliver so many toys

To all the good deserving  girls and boys.

She drew the Chariot card,

And knew it wouldn’t be hard,

And when she drew the shining Star,

He knew his sleigh would take him far.
